19 April

Scipio, NY

Went with a more photojournalistic photo today. One of the many interesting aspects of being a meteorologist is that I get to do storm damage surveys after severe weather occurs. Today, I got to see damage from a weak tornado, and I was planning on my PaD being something more dramatic, but I just found this photo more interesting. Two of these guys are meteorologists, one is the home owner. I looked over and saw all 3 of them pointing up. They were pointing to a spot where a rowboat was lodged in a tree after the storm. Why they all had to point, I don't know.

Oh yeah, it's a reach, but there is a sin here...

Almost forgot, the sin would be the wrath of nature. I did say it was a reach, didn't I?

I live 45 minutes south of Buffalo, I did not hear anything about this weather, I did hear about the aweful weather in the midwest though. This is a great capture, they are so natural looking and the damage behind them shows some of the power they seen. Nicely done.

It’s incredible what a storm can do! You say these tree guys are pointing a rowboat in a tree!!! We fortunately don’t have such storm in Europe.

LoL @ pete (Virginiacoastline). My dad majored in meterology (for who knows what reason), he told me jokingly, "The difference between engineers and meterologists is that engineers look down, meterologists look up." This picture definitely looks like meterologists!
