My school - Sept 1949-----June 1954 when it closed. It was considered to be inadequate in 1953 when I attended the closure meeting with my father but in later years children were brought in to experience "nature". After all these years I can still muster up a tiny taste of bitterness when I consider the failure of the Johnson City School System to meet the needs of some of us who would have benefited greatly had we completed eighth grade
under Mrs. Wood.
