Dubai

Just back from a trip to Dubai. This falcon is enjoying its reward during a training session.
(It's on the ground, flapping its wings). I was very lucky to accompany the falcons' veterinary surgeon to the training session, out in the desert. More photos to follow.

I just noticed your comment. So it's not in flight, but no matter it looks like it is. And I just figured out what it is about the eyes....it looks more like a sea turtle than a bird here (if you ignore the wings). Makes sense since reptiles and birds are closely related. Kudos! KHT

Wowweee! Is it in flight? Or just flapping? Great capture. It's eyes are eerie. The oversized pupils make it appear to be freaked out on drugs or something. Very nice shot. GMV. K in Vermont http://www.pbase.com/khtaylor
