it’s that time of the year again — Firefall shooting time.

I was not expecting anything this year due to lack of snow, luckily the recent storm brought me some hope, so Monday after work, all of a sudden feeling a little “sick", Ok, Tylenol didn't help, found out it was just sick and tired of working, LOL, so packed my gear and took off 1AM Tuesday morning, got to Tunnel View by 5:00AM, set up for the morning shot but weather not cooperating, really hazy day. Then went down to the river side and grabbed a few Half Dome shot, then headed back out to the El Capitan area, scouted around and picked a few shooting spot for the next few trips next week, then headed down the El_Cap picnic area, since this is the beginning of the two weeks shooting period, shooting from West end will get better light, so I will save the few South Drive spots for next week and headed down the EL-Cap picnic area this time, parked and claimed my spot, I got the privilege to picked the best seat in the house, LOL, that was only 10:30AM…… and waited and waited and waited, hungry, cold, bored….. 6 hours later, color started too show……..as you can see, from the day shot, this time got a lot of water, (for the Horsetail fall standard), you can even see the little sister fall to its left, which you almost never see in a normal year.
