Lens Meets Cement

I went up to Hawk Hill with my girl Friend at around 6:00 AM trying to catch some Golden Gate low fog shots, but the fog was so thick we couldn't see a thing so we wait in the car for a little bit, and then the fog seems to get lower and lower and one of the Bridge tower started to show up, so decided to change my Sigma 35 to the 200mm to get a close up shot of that, my girl friend was so nice to get out of the warm car hand me a new lens and put that Sigma 35 back in the backpack for me, I feel i am a such lucky guy to have a beautiful assistant, WOWHOO…. and after a few shots, I decided to go little higher up the hill hopping to get above the fog a little more, so i grabbed my backpack, and swing it to my back, and I head “pang”, it seems like something just fell out and hit the ground? guess what that is? the Sigma 35 F1.4 just fell out of the bag and hit the cement….. CRAP!!!! what’s the damage? here:

Guess what, she didn't zip it up all the way and left a big opening after putting the lens back to the backpack, I didn't check because it was my habit always zip it up right away after I take anything or put back anything, so I thought it was zipped, cool thing is after falling to the cement from 5 Feet height, I found a few deep scratches on the lens body, that's about it, the lens still working perfectly.
