The OC&E operated in the Klamath Falls Oregon area for the Weyerhaeuser Timber Company. These photos are during the early 1980's near Klamath Falls, at the Sycan Shops and the Bly Mountain switchbacks, not having detailed information I never explored the Woods Line.

The Railroad extended from the Weyerhaeuser Mill outside of Klamath Falls, Oregon 63 rail miles eastward to Bly were a Mill and log reload were located. Near Beatty, Oregon the Weyerhaeuser 'Woods Line' branched north crossing the Sprague River and extending approx 40 rail miles north to the Sycan Marsh, serving additional log reloads along the route and as separate branches. The original OC&E was sold to the SP and GN and later purchased by Weyerhaeuser Timber Company in 1975 and then operated as a combined railroad to deliver logs from the distant forests to the Company Mill. The Bly Mountain switchback photos are in the correct sequence for one train crossing the switchbacks. The switchbacks are listed as Sprague River or north side and Klamath Falls or south side for convenience, official designation in Company Timetables was East Switchback and West Switchback respectively.
