Historic Brattonsville, in McConnells, South Carolina, is the preserved farm of William Bratton, who served as a colonel in the militia, in the US Revolutionary War, and fought in the Battle of Huck's defeat, which occurred at this site. That name doesn't leave much mystery as to the outcome of the Battle, does it? The site is now a museum, that has a number of buildings, dating from about 1750 to 1850. Amongst many other programs, throughout the year, every July, there is a two day recreation of the battle.
