The creation of "hyttes", or little huts for the purpose of hiking rest stops, cooking etc. is popular I believe in Scandinavian countries. These include my pictures of our expedition' to the one toward the North end of the Island (although I could have my directions wrong). It is jaw-droppingly beautiful and I was impressed to no end by the energy of the Norwegian people who would casually hike up this mountainous terrain with their children for a picnic and a little "golf" !
