On the road to Telegraph Creek

One of the places we got to visit - rather hurriedly - was the tiny settlement
of Telegraph Creek - so named because of efforts to establish a telegraph
line there in the late 1800s. The narrow winding road snakes along the canyon
of the Stikine River and although the scenery, even in the failing light, was majestic,
the trip was somewhat heart-stopping as you proceed along the canyon walls
with thousand foot drops if you slide off the road.

This photo, is of an abandoned native settlement en route and is meant to show the topography.

Interesting photo. It reminds me of a miniature train set-up.

Beautiful aerial view of this wonderful winterscape. Be careful! I wouldn't want you to fall that far.
