What a beautiful house, what a waste but at least it makes for a great subject for photography. Beautiful shot.

Great colours and mood...

Great shot. Very well done. Love the perspective, a bit spooky.

A very strong image, Cliff. The red creeper adds the perfect touch

Way to go Cliff. This is exceptionally good. You captured the "abandonment" perfectly.

Great shot, Cliff.

I like this one; the color is stronger.

I love these old houses that I know will someday be torn down or fall down. This is just superrb with the red vines growing on it.

Gosh these are great. Would be wonderful images for a calendar and/or clear prize winners at a county fair. I love 'em both. Frame 'em and hang 'em high!

PS: This is the kind of house I could probably afford (then agian, with the land around it, probably not.) LOL

They're both beautiful, really nice palette. Must have been quite the place in its prime.

Hard to pic but I'll take #1. Thought for sure it was an optical trick but this really is superb.
Big vote.

Truly excellent work Cliff. This one looks a bit like it is falling over (maybe that was your intent?) Anyhow you did quite well.

Nicely done. I love to look at these places and imagine the lives that have played out in them. The curtain out the window draws my attention in.

That is exceptional, voted.

I agree with Marisa - the best photo of today.

Excellent find and really well captured. These are keepers, for sure (v)

Two great images of a very appealing subject. I lik ethe first one for it's greater sense of dilapidation, while the second shows more context. For my taste, the first one just noses ahead.

These are fantastic pictures!! So well done!
Gary Hebert29-Sep-2005 17:05
Cliff, you made it look better than it probably does...
Guest 29-Sep-2005 16:36
Handy man's special. Not quite ready to move in. Great picture.
J. Scott Coile29-Sep-2005 16:35
Both are wonderful images. The decline of the old farmhouse is so rich. Well done!

It's magnificent, Cliff!
Such an appealing, strong image, with a gentle feeling too. It's hard to choose between the two versions, but I think my favourite is the main one you posted.
I like the twisted perspective, which gives a deeper impression of dilapidated architecture. The colours are perfectly captured too.
I think it's the best picture I noticed today for sure.
At least is the one which gave me more as impact.
Thank you
Marisa
