Blacksmith at Fort Langley

We visited historic Fort Langley, yesterday and like many
such historical sites, there are folks in costumes who explain
and demonstate the many attractions.

This lady, quite skillfully operated the blacksmith shop.
She is aboriginal and the woven cedar bark hat is traditional to her culture
which is that of the Coast Salish.

Lovely portraits. You did an excellent job with these and I hope you'll give her some prints. Nice slice of history too.

Gerat candid on the first one Cliff and a wonderful simle on the poses. The D70 is a fine camera isn't it.

Excellent captures Cliff. I think in the first photo she is bemusedly humoring you with a pose!
