Sea Imp III

Little boom boat, Sea Imp III, going under the bridge at the Fraser River yesterday.
I am on my bike with my Canon S50 and have a good vantage point of the many goings and comings.
The Fraser River empties into the Pacific Ocean, at Vancouver, about 40 miles from this location.

A shot of the boat as it approaches the bridge, passing some log booms, is added for context.

I've taken this bridge many times. Another view from the bottom at : http://www.pbase.com/cliff0108/image/38410421

Nice perspective, like the log float shot also.

Cliff this is one of your finest. I tbought it a child's toy in a dirty bathtub :)
The wake is outstanding.

The water is as clean as any river is these days - not as clean as it should be for sure - but the colour is it's natural silty-muddy colour. Little trivia - the Fraser is the most signifcant river in the world for Pacific salmon.

Great capture. The water looks not so clean.

I would like the composition to be a bit wide angle. More trail of waves I guess.

I adore this picture, Cliff. It's perfect! The perspective is unusual. since you are on a bridge and you are dominating the field of the photo. I like the nuances of colours, that are not too bright and not too in contrast and all is so sharp and lively.
It's classical and original at once. Really a good work!
