Yellow rhododendrons #1

There is a family a short distance away that grows these
magnificent flowers in all colours and varieties.
This was my take on the yellow. I couldn't make a decision on cropping.
So in true PaD style uploaded both uncropped and cropped versions as well as a different shot.

Same shot cropped

'Alternate Rhodie'

I have created a small gallery of my visit to this wonderful place at

Beautiful exposure; I can't choose a preference.

The rhododendron is our state flower. The wild variety is pink. I've never seen a yellow one before. These are beautiful and I can't decide if I like the cropped version better. I'm leaning toward the first one.

rather nice, the shape reminds me of primroses. haven't see a yellow "rhodi" before.

I like them both, I can see why you had trouble deciding.

I love the top one. Excellent lighting and you displayed that tender yellow to great advantage.

They are both lovely, but the first one you chose is special.

I like the first one. A bit different from the usual tight crop with flower pics.
