My brain is heating up watching this gallery. What is being said? Some looks happy, some worry, hard hearing, surprised... A great study of an object that is taking more and more space in our life, emotionally and timely. Last time when I came back from London I thought I was in a Call Center on wheels.

Fun gallery. In the Netherlands, mobile phones are TABOO in the coffee shops..they'll interrupt your phone call and ask you to step outside - they're THAT offended (and rightfully so). I asked once why this was such a serious issue and they said, "Because it's anti-social." So much for compulsive communicating (socializing)

I second Adal's opinion, Ray - I enjoyed every one of these street shots and you definitely deserve a publisher! You can capture such pure human emotions and everyday scenes in a captivating way, and it's such a perfect snapshot of Western culture in 2005.

Nice idea and execution. In the states, you would have to show the idiot sitting at the traffic light holding up everyone else while talking on a cell phone or backing up everybody on the expressway.

All these idiots need their little electronic security blankets to protect them from being alone. Cell phones isolate you from those around you, and those that use them often rudely invade your space with empty chatter. Another notch up in the coarsening of the social fabric.

Good Idea! But in order to complete the gallery you must capture a guy using 2 cell phones simultanously. They exist. I know of some of them.
