All that remains of the goods station at Bishopsgate which was destroyed by fire in 1964. This was at a time when an awful lot of freight was transported by rail.

Part of the site is being taken up construction of the East London Line extension, which will link up the Underground line from New Cross to the North London Line at Dalston in part using the trackbed of the abandoned line out of Broad Street. And at last there will be a station at the top end of Brick Lane!
