The Champion

This would have been taken around 1927 and comes from my mother's family album. The Wiseman family did holiday in places like Margate on the North Kent coast, so maybe it is taken there. The strange thing is it does not show any family members. Although the young man in the hat above the 'H' of Champion does look a bit like my grandfather, the people surrounding him are certainly unconnected.

"It's a mystery!" as they say. Fascinating photo, Ray. I too could stare at it for a while.

Find this fascinating to look at, Ray; I could stare for hours at all the faces and the clothes of the era, though don't think my boss would be too impressed! Imagine the health and safety uproar if they packed that many people onto a boat that size today in England.
