March 28 2006:
The English Rain

Saw this great puddle outside the town’s market today. As you can imagine, the stallholder nearby started to make cheeky chappy comments when he saw me taking the photo, especially when a senior citizen walked past “Hey lady, smile, he wants to take a picture of your lovely legs!”

He then suggested that I send the picture up to the council to illustrate the state of the drains!

LOL @ your story... Nonethless it's an excellent find! You've certainly made the best out of your rain situation. Outstanding reflection and you've also turned our world upside down :-)

Wonderful, Ray! Kind of a mirage going here. I didn't realize at first that it was a puddle! The disjointed figures and objects make it seem like a montage. Looks as if you've got almost as much rain as WE do here in CA!!

Excellent. Very well done, and creative, reflection shot.

Flipping this was a stroke of genius (I am assuming you flipped it and did not hold the camera upside down *grin*). Love the dark tones and the reflection. Excellent work. V.

The text says a lot, but the image even more. I feel a little bit confused - maybe upside down. Nice find.

Wonderful reflection, thought it was B&W, but it's not really.
Very well done.
