July 29 2005:
Power Lines

I always like the sight of multiple power lines across open spaces, but such shots are often tricky. These pylons sit between Weybridge and Addlestone near the Wey Navigation, but are only photographable between gaps in the trees as the land is private.

The clouds were interesting, but showing the inevitable clear sky that was due to make its appearance just before sundown. I must admit to tweaking the image to give a pinkish hue.

Photoshop:
Cropped and Resized
Adjusted in Levels
Adjusted in Channel Mixer
Adjusted in Contrast

I also loitered around the Byfleet Car Yard once again – seems like someone has his 40 year old pink motor in for attention…..

This time last year :- ‘Albino with Shades’

Canon EOS 300D Digital Rebel
1/500s f/4.5 at 17.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Wonderful sky! ( I can't look at pylons without thinking about the ad where they came to life as cartoon characters!)

Great composition and like the toning. Taken from just by New Haw Lock?

There is something fascinating about all those high power lines. Bringing the juice to millions to run those ACs and hide from the heat. I like what you did with ths sky.

I love shots of power lines, especially with such an intense sky in the BG.
