June 30 2005:
The Last Goodbye

Some of you will be aware that I managed to escape the workplace a few months back, but because I was on sick leave I never got around to having a leaving do.

So I took the opportunity today to coincide with a couple of other colleagues who are also taking ‘an early bath’. Having been working there since the age of 16, I have seen thousands of people come and go and the crowd you see here are just a sample of the good people I have worked with over the years.

But then about an hour after I got home I learnt that Rodney, who was the firm’s photographer and like me an aeroplane buff, had died of cancer at just 54.

So I guess I’ll never forget today.

That's some crowd!

53's so young, that's very sad.

Nice capture of a memorable time. A lot of people in this photo which says a lot about how well liked you were. Sorry to hear about your friend. A sad ending to a happy day.
