June 20 2004:
A Summer Night’s Light

I always admire this view of the River Wey near Guildford Railway Station. The old Victorian buildings have been restored rather than demolished and I’d planned to photograph them at twilight with the office lights still on.

I was actually looking for a Neon image tonight. However, the one I was after was not switched on, but I did spot this alternative view of the old buildings as the sun began to sink in the west. Of course, I had to make the best from Photoshop on this one.

This is beautiful! The colour is lovely! I find this looks a lot like some of the historical Victorian Daguerratype images - almost like the building has been transported back in time. very nice ly done!

Color certainly sets the mood on this, very nicely. Like also the 2 people to give the buildings their scale.

Wonderful mooody photograph Ray. I like the angle / reflection working up left to right. And heck, this could be in England?
