May 12 2004:
Its only just a blur now

I had an interesting pmail from Linda today, as it seems that one of my old classmates from 35 years ago has been commenting on one of her pictures . Well, that’s only fair I suppose since it does feature his restored Volvo!

Anyway, I thought I’d do a school related photo today. So here is part of my school report from 1967, when I was 13 and those just a bit older than me were wearing flowers in their hair and enjoying that famous summer of love.

This report has got ME written all over it. Yes, I get a satisfactory report and try to do my best, but I'm not very confident at all and hold myself back from joining in. Oh yeah, I’m not very sporty and am pretty useless at things like woodwork and metalwork, which I think translates into a lack of DIY around the house!

This part of my report is the summary written up by my ‘House Year Tutor’, a certain Miss S Haggis. That reminds me of a local councillor we have in Woking, one Peter W Ankers.

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Auto contrast!? Ts ts ts.... :) A very warm photo, filled with fond memories. Very nice!

P.S. I don't think using auto contrast is sinful in the least. Photoshop does a very decent job of it all by itself with the auto commands. If it works for your photograph, hey, I say go for it and save a little time!

I'm still straining my eyes to read the words, but it's actually a really cool idea and a neat photograph!!! I dug up my second grade report card recently and my teacher lamented that "Carol is still a dreamer." And I still am after all these years. I wasn't too sure of myself back then either.

Neato. Love the color and the wrinkle in the paper and the blur to the words. Very creative.

Great photo Ray. and the story with it.

Wonderful photo, Ray! Your story, btw, is very funny - it reminds me of how much of a person's basic personality is in place from the start.

How delightful Ray. Tried to read it even with the blur;)
