A lovely warm day today, and the clouds melted as the evening rush hour got nearer. This photo was actually taken very near “The Pit” in Crondall, a very small music venue where in the past I have seen Paul Jones and Julie Felix.

Paul Jones and Julie Felix, you old bugger!
My claim to fame, I once pushed Barbara Dickson's car. She appeared at our local folk club St. Marys Social Hall)in a previous century. As I remember it she was paid £10!!

Love the tone. All those powerlines and not a building in sight! Great photo.

I like how the angle of the lines is a bit askew, making it all the more abstract! Nice and I like the duotone too!
Guest 10-May-2004 21:29
Great tone! moody picture

Sure it reminds me of the American photography of the 30's, the Great Depression.
Yet, the tilted poles are a signal, witty and ironical. Well done.

I don't have anything interesting to say other than good job!

Agree with CJ on that one.

Reminds me of the old south in the 1950's. Interesting tone Ray.

That's an interesting image Ray. Somehow it reminds me of middle America
from the 1920's or 1930's.

This looks like Wisconsin!!! Ray, you're SOOO going to be in trouble if I find out you were here and didn't pop by for a visit! ;) Beautiful shot, love the old time feel you gave it with the tones.

I was thinking, too, that it doesn't look like England...

Ray this is such a strange photo of our landscape - it's so reminiscent of the image I have in my mind of the USA's farming countryside. Really nice and unusual.
