October 3 2003: Spiral Speedway

Woking

The top of the multi storey car parks offer one or two POTD possibilities. Here's my first, suitably treated to add interest.

FujiFilm FinePix 2600Z
1/137s f/3.5 at 6.7mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

I remember this like it was yesterday! :) I still like it a lot.

Hey David, that comment is really welcome! I will have a go at that - take my tripod into work but try not to make it my POTD as that would be cheating! I know I need to be a bit more creative in PS sometimes, so thanks for the inspiration and your positive feedback. Cheers, Ray.

Ray, hope you don't mind me saying, this really is a great picture, but every time I see it, I want to say, do it again, but take a tripod and blur the car! About 1/8 or 1/4 sec would do it. Then it would be perfect!

Wow, cool shot!

Great shot! I love how the car subtley stands out from the rest of the picture.

I love this picture - and I know waht you mean about difficulties on the shortening days. I guess I'll have that problem even more next week in Norway!

Thanks everyone for all your positive feedback. It was really a dismal day when I caught this and was just snapped in my lunch break. Just goes to show what we can muster on such a day with only a moderately spec'd camera. Have fun on these shorter, darker days!

Fun perspective and a great editing job.

Interesting composition, for an interesting subject. Like the contrast of the car, too!
