That was the slogan of the old BEA, which was the nationalised airline of the UK that served Europe and some cities in the middle east. In 1974 it became British Airways when it merged with its 'sister' BOAC which did all the long haul stuff.

This Airbus was painted up in this 'retro' style last year. It is one of British Airways' older jets, but at least it was flying earlier this morning (17th March).
