We are big on blue plaques in Britain (sometimes they are other colours) and this one is unusual in that it is attached to a wall in our modern town centre shopping mall. It is more usual for a plaque to be attached to a relevant building such as the person's former home, or sometimes a more recent building on the historical site. His childhood house still stands, so there must be a reason for not placing it there.
