a song written by local lad Paul Weller about his home town of Woking, but also adapting the title of the Nevil Shute novel pertaining to that Australian town.
This is in the Sheerwater neighbourhood of Woking where Weller went to school upon reaching 11. He would have surely walked passed this spot just about every day, living in Stanley Road. Just behind where I was standing was the sweet shop and newsagents where I'm sure he'd buy New Musical Express and perhaps indulge in some chocolate? It was called 'Josephine'.
The mural was made by Scott McCulloch in 2016, but the innovative furniture came along in 2018.
