A rather nice lighthouse by the Royal Harbour forms part of this scene of Ramsgate, an important port on the Kent coast, which is a short distance away from Belgium and Holland.

I was surprised to find out that Vincent Van Gogh spent some time here as a teacher, and there is a blue plaque to mark this fact.
