Storrington

West Sussex view map

Storrington is a substantial settlement in Sussex - some would call it a village, some a town. Those that know England will understand that the presence of both a Waitrose and a Costa mean that it has a degree of importance. However, it does not have, and never has had, a railway station.

Apparently, the place name refers to a place where storks live. Storks have not regularly bred in Britain for several centuries.

Lovely buildings in what must be an affluent town. I've been in Waitrose but am not familiar with Costa.
