The station at Brookwood was notable for having not one, but two little branch lines that passengers could use to get to places that weren't actually villages or towns.
Firstly, there was a line out to Bisley Camp where the National Rifle Association have their ranges, also serving some army barracks. This line closed in the 1950s, but there is still a carriage (albeit from the 1960s) on the NRA site.
Secondly, an earlier line was built from the station to serve the large cemetery at Brookwood. Funeral trains would leave London, but there would be a passenger carriage for mourners too.
Of course, today, the station is just used by the local populous for getting out and about whether it be work or pleasure.
