Oh this definitely happened while I was away - I could never forget this. Truely amazing image. It flies in the face of the conventional wisdom that to feel part of the scene you must be close to it. Here, despite the distance and scale, I feel like I can hear every whisper of that old couple. An incredibly intimate scene set off against the finest architecture to be found. Whatever you did with the processing is magical. Easily one of my favourites from this exceptional gallery

Monster image! Easily one of my favorites. Love the processing, and the lighting is great - it evokes a beautiful, warm feeling. But, of course, what makes the image so great is the inclusion of the couple which gives a sense of scale. I expect to see this in the "Best" part of the gallery.
