I fully disagree with this being placed among "the rest". This is classic street photography that takes time and effort from the viewer to fully appreciate. Far from the crowds of images which are stock full with popcorn, instantly gratifying shots, this one takes work. But it's worth every effort.
very nicely composed.excellent tones and beautifull light.

I hope a lot of people see this. I sincerely doubt that I will be the only one whom is reminded of one of Cartier Bresson's shots. This has a completely timeless feel to it (alhtough the the mobile phone keeps this firmly rooted in the-now). The man's relaxed posture with that dog perched on top of him so naturally is great. This single aspect shows so much about their relationship. What makes this shot for me however (shades of the great HCB) is the dog staring straight back at you. Almost as if you're invisible to everyone and everything else, but the dog is not fooled. I really love this. It's a "real" street photograph, not a hopeful imitation.
