FULL STOP

I am certain to have left someone off the list of photographers who have inspired me, and for that I apologize. I have commented on many photos along the way, including photographers whose work I like but maybe have different photographic interest than mine (landscapes and florals for example). So it's not to say I am passing judgement with my list, these are just the photographers whose galleries I visit most frequently.

Chuck, I am not too surprised to learn of your new direction as we have previously exchanged messages about the posting of work on Pbase and BP in general. As such, I am excited to see where your efforts will take you next...no doubt you will raise the bar once again and all of us are the better for your having done so! I am also most appreciative that you mentioned my name among some fine PBase artists...artists whose work I admire and have learned much from over my short tenure on this site and in photography in general. Please know that I have learned much from you and am proud to -- like cdnies and others -- count you among my friends even though nature photography isn't a primary interest of yours... ;^) All the best -- Bishop

Allow me to join the list of flattered acolytes! I know I only discovered your work very recently but you'll stay in my favourites, and I'm slightly intimidated wondering what your PaDs will be like when you step up your game even further! Good luck with your future projects, and thanks for including me in such an illustrious list ;0)

Having just speed scanned your PaD months I can see the progression, but even your 'lesser images' prove to have great character to them!

I started my PaD on May 21 of this year and I absolutely hear you loud and clear. If it's any help, your work on pbase is great, and whether you post once a day or once a month, I'll always come by and check out what you're doing. Have a groovy time, whatever you do, whatever you shoot!

Chuck, you must be kiddin' - these pbase galleries your 2nd choice??? Well, then I really cannot wait to see your first :o)

Thanks so muc for all your comments as well as inspiration...something will be missing...every day. Hm, and if we all say 'please' would you consider to continue?

PLEASE?????

All the best! Armin

You are much too generous and kind to include my name here and it is hard to accept the honour without trepidation. You are, after all, an awesome inspiration and, I am sure, on top of everybody's list. You have already set a very high standard. But now you are 'stepping up the game,' a very difficult challenge esprcially for us lesser mortals. I take comfort in the words of the great Callas when she was asked to perform a new role within a few days' time. She said, "Maestro, my best I will do, but more than my best, I cannot promise." I am sure, however, that you can go beyond.

Nice job. Perfect white balance, and I like the contrasting red and black colors. Also, nicely cropped with no wasted white space.

lol - this is a great public statement. I'm honored to be mentioned as one of your favorites because without you, I wouldn't even KNOW about pbase in the first place! Incidently, studies shown this type of public promise is a very effective way for actually following through on a commitment (in fact, I've read that smokers will often send similiar declarations before trying to quit). Bravo!

Chuck, it's truly an honor to even be mentioned with those you credit for inspiration. You were one of the earliest and most supportive PBasers to grace my pictures with comments, and for that I'm truly thankful. Your work got me to playing with Photoshop and expanding my eye after the fact, but I'll never be close to having the eye for the shot that you have. This is a good community, and among this community, I count you as a friend.

If the PaDs are your "seconds" I can't wait to see your project work! Your images are a real inspiration and motivation to my photography and I am humbled that you mentioned my name in your list of favorites. As always . . . I'll be watching!!! Craig :-)
