No - you are not seeing double. There were two Goth Weekends in Whitby just a week apart. This is the second amd more official weekend, although many people took part in both events.

iv bee a goth since the age of 13, and now im 41 my husband is 46, and ive come from a long line of family goths ,i have great neices and nephews who are goths, so i thouht since i heard so much about whitby i would love to go. only to be disapointed. that more than half of what people were calling goth had NOTHING to do with being a goth or the goth lifestyle. i had some photos taken of me and my husband. dauhter who went with us and my baby son and my bestie who we all know the goth lifestyle..but the majority of photos taken were of weekenders who dont know a goth from their own arse. that rented costume look and to our horror i saw cheap halloween type costumes. tho your photos are very nice, they are not of real goths. with the exception of maybe one or two. next time a word of advice. if you want to take a photo of a proper goth. please aim your camera at someone who actually lives the lifestyle and not someone who looked like they fell into rent a dracs closet. at someone who didnt run out and buy a top hat and black clothin just for the weekend. chances are the the women or couple with the children and the hoodie and black jeans boots are the proper goths not the ones with over blown costumes. if your a proper goth chances are you look that way everyday. not just for the cameras. just take a moment to look around you can tell those who look that way more than likely all the time or quite often than those who look like a bad advertisment for hot topic and costume rentals.
thanks.. sinz
