Saw this Movie for the first time in 1985, when I was not even 5 years old. I fell in love with it, since then it had claimed a part of my heart and remained there.

The ending of the movie where the family VonTrapp fled Salzburg left me with a sad feeling, I never understood why they had to flee, I did not know what the soldiers were about. So when I got matured enough, I researched about "those soldiers". They turned out to be the Nazis and it was the 2nd World War.

23 years after I first saw the movie I found myself relocating to the place where the Nazis came from, and 24 years after my first sight of the movie, I got the chance to see the place myself. It is as enchanting as the movie was.

65 years since the war has ended and so much has changed in this part of the world, but what hasn't changed is its Beauty.
