Every year, before the Sinulog Grand Parade, a weekend before, the children gets their chance to offer the Senor Sto Nino their festive dances and colorful costumes.

Sinulog is a Religious celebration that commemorates the arrival of the Holy Child Jesus in the shores of Cebu, Philippines. Thus, making Cebu and Philippines the biggest Christian Catholic nation in the whole of Asia, and one of the Catholic Capitals of the World.

Every Cebuanos believe in the miraculous image of the Sto Nino, that in every major disaster, Sto Nino protects them, and in everyday lives of every Cebuano, HE is always present, making sure that his protection and blessings are received by every Cebuano, who truely and is forever grateful to every Simple Miracle that comes to their lives.

Cebu is not just an Island in the middle of Philippines, instead, it is a Metropolis that can strive on its own rich natural resources, human talents, rich business opportunities, and the most attractive Tourist destinations. Every Cebuano believes that because of Sto Nino, an island so small, is also an island so complete; only in Cebu can Industrial Progress and Beautiful Nature exist, real destination, where else can you find business and pleasure in such one small place.

That is why, every 3rd Sunday of January, the SINULOG is celebrated, in honor of its Patron Saint Sto Nino. This is not only of the colorful Mardi Gras, but mainly the Holy Celebration that starts with the 9 days Novena and ends with the Grand Holy Procession...topped with the SINULOG GRAND PARADE...
