PPS: We love you Clark & your sweet family & you've done a tremendous job raising them. We kspt trying to get you to move to UT or Zion as we called it but that's where your family is & that's where you need to be to support them at their times of need. Please stay close & we hope to get out on a visit one of these years & meet all your family in person & not just in e-mails or e-cards, but for now they will have to do. We will just have to be content to visiting by mail or ph: or more pictures like these. I love all your mail you send me It sure helps me stay out of the dumps when I get feeling sorry for myself. Your call today Clark was just at the right time it was just like I had ssent you the e-mail last night & you were just getting it. All you said made both of us feel so good. Hope your visit with your girlfriend go ok. She must be a sweetie to climb into your heart & keep you going for so long of a time. You could give her a nick name so we did'nt have to call her Pat! ! ! or Patty or anything to do with Pat. Well I hope our grandson Dallen makes it to see you & be assigned to your stake or ward area. We're so happy he is going there. How are the rest of your family members??? any there where he can teach them??? Must close for now so please get back to me & I hope you don't feel too bad after reading these comments about my stay & LaDean but I do love her so very much. The two of you will be such beautiful couple when you can be together through all eternities. I hope my health will improve enough where we can go on a mission together like we always wanted to before we married that was your real wedding date too. I remember that so vividlly the cold & snow. ugh but we did set that date to be married instead of April because you & LaDean were coming out to visit that Christmas & go thru to be sealed in the temple & wanted us to make it a double wedding, which we did. I still love my dear sweet husband as much now & even more since we went through that special day. I hope we can go on a mission to a temple due to my health I can't be on my feet for long perriods of time but when I was set apart when we worked those 8 yrs we told you about the temple President daid in his setting apart that as long as I was working in the temples in the service of our Lord that my health would sustain me. And, it did all those 8 yrs the only reason wew aren't doing it now was they changed the temple duties in inisitory & they had to have the workers who could work 2,3 days a week in the temple & during the day some & JerBear & I were working full time then so we just couldn't do it & we had to take a leave of absence, & pray now that we may be called when they feel I can do be of service. I am doing a lot better than when you saw me last & made it down to our family get togather for Sharon & Rol's FareWell before going into the mission home to begin there's. I wish it had of been different cirrcumstances when you could have come & be with us. Ilene wasn't with us of course, Ray still isn't doing too well I understand so I don't know when we can see her again. Our Family Sends Their Love to Your's.
Love Ya Lots, Darlene

Dear Clark, this looked just like the Kurt & Mary I remembered when I was out to visit you & LaDean (My Dear Dear Sister when she was in the last couple of months expecting your second son, after losing your first little one. Kim & Steven were such special spirits they were called home to their Heavenly Father after living only 10 hrs. & two days, when I was there. I remembered all the family gathered around offering their support & love to LaDean & Clark & me even though I hadn't been there but the last month before Steven was born & passed through the veil so quickly. The family has grown with a number of new faces since I was there, but the dinners were the same for they were all like a special ocassion. I had the opportunity to meet his sister, Veda, & Bob (husband)was such a tease too, & your brothers,Gale & Elbie they were so fun & crazy to be around & they made my stay of 2 months longer very enjoyable with their practical jokes etc. (Snipe Hunts, Fox hunts (with a big gun twice my size that left me flat on my backside). LaDean & I gave Clark some challenges also, so I can't say it was all the boys. I was so glad to have met Gale & my association with him before he was called home to his Heavenly Father. I hope he didn't tease Dear LaDean she was such a beautiful spirit & I know she was there ahead of Gale so she could tame him down when it was his turn to come back to his Father in Heaven. I learned to love the Reed family with all my being they all helped me through the death of their little spirit, which I thought I would never get over it at just 18 yrs. of age. I was engaged to a wonderful man at 16 yrs of age, who was in New Zealand on an LDS Mission for 2 1/2 years & had only been gone one yr. when I graduated from high school, & my sweet sister wanted me to come out to help her the last months of her waiting for her precious little one. With the promise to our mother that I wouldn't let her go shopping & stay in bed as the Dr. had prescribed for her complete bed rest.(Then I can't say I was able to keep that promise we were just too much alike. Then after we ended up losing our sweet little baby, she wanted me to stay longer she just couldn't bare to be in her home alone with all the nursery set up etc. I prepared all this for her homecoming & made it as comfortable as possible. I know if the shoe was on the other foot she would have done the same for me, we were so very close & she was my mentor, although she was three yrs older than I was. I still love her with all my being & miss her immensily going through life wondering what it would have been like if LaDean had of lived longer, but she was just too righious of a spirit & she had special work in that world we call "The Spirit World" & 2 children to raise. I'm so at peace when I think of her being there with her two babies who aren't babies now but grown men.
