They hold the oil that in pumped to the surface by pumpjacks.
The trucks then go around and carry the oil to a central area to be shipped wherever.
Guys called pumpers actually go to each tank weekly or more,to check on them.
(checking on the amount pumped and making sure everything is ok.)
