We learned in school ,by one of the best psych professors in the nation(don't ask me why he was at Okla.)
that a large % of these guys are homeless by choice.Remember the homeless guy that won a lot of money
on some show,and blew it very quickly and returned to his homeless state seemingly happier.
Seems a large portion of these guys are schizophrenic.
Nothing against them most seem to do pretty well. As you saw on my last homeless shot
the guys were wearing pretty nice clothes and they are not missing any meals.

I noticed another curious thing. All of their signs are misspelled or they have a letter flipped like they are dyslexic.
The thing I found interesting is I have seen 3 signs like this guy's ,that left the same letter out.

AGAIN Nothing against these fellows my job is observing people and I just cant help it. I am not a judge.
This guy was very friendly but I didn't give him any money. I save all that for my Mexico missions.
None of them have a nice tshirt a good pair of glasses or a $125 backpack
