Flame Skimmer

Willcox, Arizona

This was a very odd shot. I had my 170-500mm lens on with the tripod and was shooting water fowl.
I saw this one above me on the wire and had to keep backing up until I could get it in focus!
A little "overkill" here! LOL. I was surprised with the shot.

Great angle to shoot from, Carol. The sky is the perfect background for that wonderful red color and even picks out the russet in the wings. Cool shot! Vote!
