Skimmer Dragonfly

I must say I got way more bad than good shots trying to capture this little beauty. But, I got one!
I looked it up and he could be a Western Pondhawk or a Blue Dasher.

Canon EOS 20D ,Sigma 28-300mm F3.5-6.3 DG Macro
1/160s f/5.6 at 222.0mm iso200 full exif

Fantastic capture. I was surrounded by dragonflies the other day, but I just couldn't photograph a single one. Those guys are quick. The colors of this one are marvelous. V

I've had trouble trying to catch them also. This one's nice. I like the eyes, wings and little feet. Nice composition and background with complementary colors. v.
