I read that the Snow Goose has a strongly curved border at the base of the bill and an obvious black
"grin-patch" on the bill. The Ross's Goose has a straight and vertical border at the base of the
bill, little or no "grin-patch" and a bluish tint at the base of the bill. Sibley Field Guide
