Jumping Spider

Texas Canyon, Dragoon, Arizona

It was a beautiful day for a walk yesterday with the temps just in the high 60°'s.
I wasn't sure I would find much though and was pleasantly surprised when I noticed this little one
walking across the road in front of me. I very rudely intruded in his/her space and followed him
right up the embankment.

GMV! I almost didn't look at this series. The eyes are eery! (My psyche is still influenced by a movie I saw as a 5 or 6 year old featuring a giant black spider with corresponding gigantic web, that filled the movie screen at times, coming head on,walking over our heads, as it seemed!)

Fantastic macro images Carol, the third one especially. These beautiful macros, like many of your previous ones, open ones eyes to the beauty and intricacy of the smaller, oft despised (stepped on) creatures. Big Vote.

I don't like spiders, but this one is great if he/she will stay close to you.
