Orange Skipperling?

Texas Canyon, Dragoon, Arizona

This little beauty was so tiny (3/4 - 7/8" wingspan) that I first noticed it as a little yellow leaf!
A yellow leaf would be out of place in this immediate environment and when I looked though my lens
to get a closer view, I saw that it was a tiny little butterfly!

Very nice comp, Carol. My field guide is no help on the ID. These skippers can be tough.

What a beautiful color. Tiny, but no less intense!
