We drove out to Cochise Lake in Willcox at 6:00 this morning to see what I might catch.
I saw lots of wonderful birds and insects and am absolutely thrilled that I caught this beautiful
Dragonfly, who was hovering a few feet from me over the dirt road near the water's edge.
I did some research and believe this guy is a Red-tailed Pennant, belonging to the Skimmer family.
The Red-tailed Pennant belongs to a genus of three dissimilar species — one red, one brown, one black,
all of which can have wings varying from almost unmarked to heavily patterned.
