We were under a giant weeping willow tree,
near the St-Lawrence, the light was exquisite.
I just...pressed the shutter.
The notes were peaceful.

You brilliantly evoke the sense of hearing here, Claudia. I listen, and the image responds. Your selective focusing on the instrument and the thumb of the musician says it all. The play of light and shadow underscores the intimate and quiet mood, while the sepia tone seems to echo the sonority of the chords that are struck here. The hearts on the instrument even extend the musicians own heart into the music. I like the title, too – even though I don’t speak French, these words are universal. To call this work “masterful” is an understatement. This image comes from straight from your soul to us.
