The Golden one...

http://www.pbase.com/image/102969277
Today, September 10th, 2008,
a very ambitious experiment is being conducted near Geneva.
The ultimate aim is to recreate conditions that existed immediately after the Big Bang.
First of all, are we so sure there was a "Big Bang".
This is just a theory... that does make sense.
But I find it is a romantic one and what do i know... ;)

This is carried out in an underground centre near Geneva,
the scientists are carrying out some tests on a multi-million
euro machine called the Large Hadron Collider.

It is probably due to my lack of knowledge in science
but... i don't think this is a 100% good/safe thing so,
i will keep my enthusiasm a bit reserved although it is
quite an exciting news when we look at the supposedly
end results...

I don't really trust the side effects of this experiment and i am
afraid if something goes wrong...nothing will be able to stop
a process that will provoke an unforseen chain of reactions that
could be unstoppable and ultimately possibly disastrous.

But, a nano positive thing came out of this media announcement.
I went for a ride in my beautiful mountains and i discovered this
beautiful arch made to honour some of the pionneers of our land.
I thought it looked like a star gate and i was thrilled with discovering
this window that probably at night, frames the most beautiful scenery
on clear nights: the sky, its stars, the moon and everything in between.
I loved it and created this "stargate" gallery :) to also
honour my fascination for the stars in the sky at night and all of
the beautiful phenomenon we can appreciate by just sitting and watching.
That in itself is a blessing...

Thanks to one (of the many) breathtaking image
that Flying Dutchman had the generosity
to authorize me to use to enhance one of my own.

I invite you to visit his exquisite galleries.
He has an understanding of beauty above the clouds
that i have never seen before. He is a true artist.
Please go visit his amazing work: http://www.pbase.com/flying_dutchman

Superbe image, Ah! le big bang, ce que je lis sur cette milliseconde de l'univers. Fascinant l'univers, et même les "microbes" qui y pullullent. :)

Thank You François and ultimately Tristan via….
Of course if something “positively good” comes out of this, I am, as always, all for advancement in science that has beneficial effects on the quality of life of the planet and its inhabitants. And, in the same breath, we do have many examples of things that went well but some major discoveries or applications of them went wrong or were used for wrong purposes but this…as in the case of “the worms of this world” will unfortunately remain a huge problem and an utopia. A problem impossible to solve at the “human” level. Too many people participate to the problems of this world instead of working at finding real solutions or contribute to make this place a better place to be by simply becoming more “loving”. If only being loving could be truly understood… Most people of this earth are very sadly sleepwalkers, automated humans with little lazy brains (excluding the ones of mad scientists or politicians) or twisted brains who ultimately only care about themselves at any cost. They have inner deep rooted ugliness and that is all of what they know and cultivate. Searching for beauty in the world does not even cross their minds… They have huge chips on their shoulders, THAT is pure ignorance… So, aiming at making this life, this planet, a better and safer place to be is of no concern to them, they are ultimate ignorants of life and themselves a sources of problems. I personally know one in particular…a real ugly human being who has hatred and frustration instead of love DEEP inside…

At the same time, I am not only referring to those unfortunate powerful crazy narcissistic politicians, businessmen, presidents, chiefs of all sorts of this world, but I am also talking of all those rats and worms that are supposedly humans and are components of the darkness of this world. They pollute the planet by their only presence. They take pleasure in controlling and hurting weaker than them but, hurting weaker than them is not a side effect of the evolution theory, no, they, themselves are the result of poor evolution that went wrong, still stuck in the Neanderthal era and they remain at the ground level…worms one day, worm forever… Let’s hope for another genius mankind step in the right direction and bravo if this experiment becomes a giant step in understanding our world’s birth and I drink (water) to all the possibilities…

Do not worry, Claudia... Probability that the LHC creates black holes that would "swallow" earth is about zero ! This fantasma has been imagined by non scientists (remember, the shuttle also should have fallen on earth...). And IF this would happen, you wouldn't have time enough to realize... Moreover, it would solve ALL your problems with worms... Hadrons are about to collide in the LHC and maybe a new "particle" could be discovered, a particle that has been predicted by theory... Its discovery would so be a proof of mankind's genius : in other words, that "we" can invent other things that weapons !... It would be good news, Claudia, don't you agree ?
