Came time to say goodbye...

I was able to pet a last time
each of the 4 horses.
They came near the fence
one at a time,
in a very respectful procession
As if they were saying goodbye
one by one
It was really special.

This little white one came last,
and when i said to him
i love you
and i love you all....
He did this
and kept the position for few seconds!
I could not understand what was happening.
He was there, head down, eyes closed
standing still...
I was just...so deeply moved and touched.
and then...came back to my senses and pressed the shutter.

The weather was of intense coldness.
The sun was bright and...cold.
it was very windy but so peaceful.

I had a frozen tear...
