The Almost Annual Pastie Drop In Big Bay

January 1,2009: In Big Bay, Mi New Years is celebrated by having a Pastie Drop. A pastie is a small pie crust folded with meat, potatoes and turnip in it. Ir used to be a meal for the miners. Now Bill and Kristi have a 2.5 foot pastie (pillow) that they drop from a flag pole. Happy New Year to all of you.
