The primary mission of NILMDTS is to provide grieving parents, who have lost a child at birth or whose newborn may have died as a result of having been removed from life support, with heirloom quality photographs of their child - taken by a professional photographer. At the parent’s request, a local volunteer photographer from our community will provide a free photography session at your facility to capture these last precious moments.
My name is Christine Barrack and I am one of over 200 photographers nation wide who participates as a volunteer with NILMDTS. Specifically, I am a volunteer in our community.
As well as providing photo memories, Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep provides support to grieving parents. This is done by means of an on-line forum. The forum is open to parents, professional caregivers such as yourselves, as well as others. Parents who have received this service have felt it to be extremely helpful in the healing process.
I encourage you to visit our web site, http://www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org and view the touching videos available, as well as the “baby books” placed on line by some of our parents. The site is full of information that can help further answer some of your questions as well.
If you have any questions, please contact me at chris_barrack@msn.com
