Manitou Springs (elevation 6,336'), just west of Colorado Springs, sits at the foot of Pikes Peak. The Cliff Dwellings offers visitos a glimpse into the past. With more that 40 rooms to explore, including a ceremonial kiva, a lookout tower and sleeping quarters. Colorful Pueblo Indian dances are performed June through August weather permitting.
The admission price is high in my opinion and it is not accessible for strollers or wheel chairs.
